Jakarta – Candidate for vice president number 2 Gibran Rakabuming Raka promises that Indonesia will improve the economy through the development of green energy or the new and renewable economy.
“Indo will become the world’s green energy king: biodiesel, bioethanol, bio-avtur, as well as sugar independence,” said Gibran in outlining his vision and mission at the Jakarta Convention Center, Jakarta, Friday night, December 22, 2023.
The green energy sector, he said, in addition to downstream programs in various other sectors, will create at least 19 million jobs. Furthermore, now the development is no longer centralized only in Java but has been evenly distributed outside of Java.
Gibran exemplified the development of the Nusantara National Capital (IKN) in East Kalimantan, which will become a new center for economic growth. “Balanced development is mandatory. Investment outside of Java 51 percent,” he said.
In summary, Gibran emphasized, “The big narrative: sustainability, acceleration, refinement.”
