Elementary school students in Depok recently expressed their gratitude for the Free Nutritious Meal Programme (MBG) by leaving heartwarming messages for Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto. These thoughtful messages were written on the meal boxes provided as part of the programme, known as omprengs, demonstrating the students’ deep appreciation for the initiative. One student, Regita from grade 3, shared how the programme helped her save her pocket money, while others like Aliya and Alenna also expressed their love and gratitude for Prabowo in their messages.
The MBG programme, a flagship initiative of President Prabowo Subianto, has been successfully rolled out in several locations across Indonesia to provide free nutritious meals to those in need. Managed by the Nutrition Fulfilment Service Unit (SPPG), the programme prioritizes the quality and sustainability of the food provided. In a bid for long-term sustainability, the government has chosen to utilize stainless steel food containers that are not only hygienic but also reusable. This move not only ensures the well-being of the recipients but also contributes to environmental conservation efforts.
