Minister Maman Abdurrahman of Indonesia has officially introduced the RISE To IPO program, a financing solution aimed at supporting the growth of medium-sized businesses. The program addresses the challenge faced by medium enterprises in Indonesia, not just in accessing capital but also in securing long-term, sustainable financing options tailored to their specific needs. Minister Maman highlighted the potential of Indonesia’s capital market as an alternative funding source during the launch event of the RISE To IPO program in Jakarta. The initiative aims to bridge the financing gap for medium enterprises, encouraging them to transition from private to publicly listed companies that are more structured, transparent, and competitive. With 42 medium-scale companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange’s acceleration board by the end of 2024, Minister Maman emphasized the role these businesses play as anchors for millions of micro and small enterprises in the country. By becoming public companies, medium enterprises not only strengthen their own resilience but also create opportunities for micro and small businesses to grow and expand their operations, in line with President Prabowo Subianto’s vision of industrial downstreaming and productive sector development.
