Prabowo Rides Whoosh High-Speed Train to Bandung: A Public Experience

President of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, embarked on a journey to Bandung, West Java, via the Whoosh high-speed train, accompanied by members of the public from Halim Station in Jakarta. Arriving at the station at 7:45 p.m. local time, Prabowo, clad in a cream-colored ensemble, seamlessly blended in with other passengers as he scanned his boarding pass at the ticket gate and made his way to the platform. His unexpected presence created a buzz of surprise and delight among the commuters, with Prabowo graciously waving to onlookers and warmly interacting with the crowd. Prior to boarding the train, he graciously posed for photos with the Whoosh crew before the high-speed train departed for Tegalluar Station in Bandung precisely at 8:00 p.m.

President Prabowo is set to inaugurate the 2025 Indonesian Convention on Science, Technology, and Industry (KSTI) at Sasana Budaya Ganesa (Sabuga), Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), from August 7 to 9. Alongside Nobel Laureate Konstantin Novoselov and Minister of Education, Science, and Technology Brian Yuliarto, Prabowo will deliver the keynote address at the convention. With the theme “Economic Growth and Equity Through Mastery of Science and Technology,” KSTI 2025 aims to establish itself as a key strategic platform on both the national and international fronts.
